Meet Our Founder
Dana Gaydos is the Founder and Principal of GHS Environmental with 25 years of experience in environmental consulting, water resources, and regulatory compliance covering the East and Gulf coasts of Florida. Since founding the company in 2010 as Gaydos Hydro Services, Dana has grown GHS into a trusted partner for clients navigating complex environmental and permitting challenges.
With a Master of Science and a background in biogeochemical modeling, Dana’s expertise is deeply rooted in water systems, hydrology, and environmental data analysis. She has extensive experience in Water Use Permitting (WUP), Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP), and Department of Health (DOH) permitting, as well as groundwater and surface water monitoring, statistical analysis, and large-scale environmental project management.
Throughout her career, Dana has led complex, multi-phase projects involving groundwater modeling, alternative water supply analysis, and large-scale monitoring networks supporting both private and public-sector initiatives. Her work has included coordination with regulatory agencies, development of long-term environmental monitoring, water use, and water management programs, and management of projects tied to energy, wetland, and environmental restoration efforts—many of which require a high level of technical precision and regulatory oversight.
Known for her ability to translate complex regulations and extensive technical data into clear, actionable strategies, Dana works closely with clients, agencies, and project teams to move projects forward efficiently while maintaining environmental integrity. Her approach combines technical depth with a practical understanding of timelines, budgets, and real-world project demands—resulting in solutions that are both defensible and achievable.
Outside of her professional work, Dana has a deep appreciation for the environments she helps protect. She enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly along the Gulf Coast, where you’ll often find her on or near the water. Whether exploring new places, spending time with family, or seeking out new adventures, her connection to the natural world continues to inspire the work she does every day.
